Portable toilet provider Viking Rentals has concluded a deal to acquire its rival Elite Portable, it has been reported.

The deal - which was backed by Blue Sky Private Equity - is part of the Australian business's wider attempt to branch out into new markets within the sector, according to Queensland Business Review.

Many deals such as this are successfully finalised through an Ansarada virtual data room, which provides business advisors with an opportunity to complete due diligence in a secure, online climate.

Managing director of Viking, Jim Noort, told Queensland Business Review: "Elite was a particularly good target for Viking because until now we have only serviced the construction sector, which requires drop-offs and pick-ups Monday to Friday."

He added, in comparison, Elite mainly serviced events which required weekend delivery and collection of the toilets.

According to the website, Elite's managing director Scott Bilenberg will continue to oversee the events side of the firm.

Staying in Australia, the emergency response group Ferno has completed a deal to purchase one of the subsidiaries of the medical technology group Weinmann.ADNFCR-1221-ID-19078842-ADNFCR
