Natural gas giant BG Group has acquired 90 per cent of the capital in Australia's Pure Energy Resources.
As part of a transaction worth approximately AUD$200 million, London Stock Exchange-listed BG will pay AUD$8.25 per share for Pure.
The deal has been agreed after Arrow, another Australian energy firm, decided to sell its 20.6 per cent stake in Pure to BG.
Considering the huge geographical distances between the parties involved, some might argue that time and money could have been saved by utilising an Ansarada secure virtual data room.
Through data room technology, legal and business advisors can perform due diligence swiftly and effectively online by exchanging encrypted accounts.
Features include restrictions on printing, saving and editing sensitive company accounts.
Elsewhere, London Mining and its US-based partner Wits Basins Precious Metals have agreed to acquire the Chinese resources groups Nanjing Sudan Mining and Maanshan Xiaonanshan.
