Commodities giant CityView has announced that it is to enter into an oil-based joint-venture in Nigeria.
Alongside the infrastructure development group Deanshanger, Perth's CityView will look to capitalise on the west African nation's oil resources by purchasing the 100,000 barrel per day capacity Tagore refinery.
When performing the due diligence processes of these deals, directors at CityView could perhaps have benefited from utilising an Ansarada virtual data room.
Using this technology, advisors could have quickly inspected company documents and accounts in an online setting.
Chief executive of CityView, Mark Smyth, said: "Deanshanger specialises in major infrastructure projects in Nigeria and has an excellent track record for successfully organising large-scale projects there."
He added that the joint-venture made "a great team" which would be supported by Nigerian government initiatives to boost oil reserves.
Meanwhile, London-based Hochschild Mining has finalised a deal to acquire Canada's Southwestern Resources Corporation.
