Bob is a Chartered Accountant, Business Valuation specialist and member of the AICD. He is a director of Seaview Consulting a specialist business adviser to professional advice businesses.

Immediately prior to establishing Seaview Consulting he was a senior executive at NAB in the role of national manager of the Adviser Business Centre, a specialist consulting division of MLC with a strong focus on creating sustainable enterprises.

Prior to joining MLC, Bob was a senior partner of accounting firm HLB Mann Judd for almost 20 years. He oversaw the growth of that practice from 5 staff to 180 when he left in October 2006 to take up the offer of the role at NAB.

A member of the management committee throughout his tenure as a partner, Bob was also Managing Director of the Licensee entity of the practice which managed in excess of $500 million of client funds.

He was a Director of the Corporate Finance division, specialising in advice to the financial services sector on matters including valuation, succession planning and strategy. During this time Bob was a member of the external valuation panels of most of the major banks.

He has been involved in a number of transactions in the Financial services sector in recent times and has a very sound understanding of the current trends in the market place.

Bob was the pioneer of the move by financial services principals to see their role as business managers and investors as well as advisers.

Bob is a well-regarded commentator on the future of professional advice business and the impacts of the dynamic operating environment in which they conduct their activities.
