As AI becomes increasingly central to how businesses work, having robust governance frameworks in place isn't just good practice – it's essential.

Ansarada is now aligned with ISO/IEC 42001, the international standard for Artificial Intelligence Management Systems (AIMS). This important milestone demonstrates our commitment to deploying AI responsibly, transparently, and with your trust at the forefront.

Understanding ISO/IEC 42001

ISO/IEC 42001 is a management system standard that provides a framework for organisations to govern and manage AI systems responsibly. Much like ISO/IEC 27001 addresses information security risks, ISO/IEC 42001 addresses AI-specific risks and opportunities.

The standard encompasses critical areas including:

  • Responsible and ethical use of AI
  • Clear accountability and governance structures
  • Comprehensive risk and impact assessments
  • Transparency and explainability of AI systems
  • Robustness, reliability, and security
  • Data protection, privacy, and bias mitigation
  • Continuous monitoring and improvement

For Ansarada, this standard provides structure to the AI governance work we've been building, ensuring our efforts are consistent, auditable, and continuously improving.

What this means for you

We want to be clear about our current status: we are aligned with ISO/IEC 42001, but not yet certified. Here's what that means in practice:

  • We've implemented comprehensive policies, processes, governance structures, and controls that map to the requirements of ISO/IEC 42001.
  • We've completed rigorous internal audits to verify that our AIMS meet the standard's intent.
  • We can demonstrate our approach to customers, partners, and auditors with clear evidence of how we manage AI-related risks.

As for certification, ISO/IEC 42001 is a very new standard, and formal certification schemes are still developing across the industry. We've chosen to lead rather than wait – building a robust framework now and positioning ourselves for formal certification as mature certification pathways become available.

Looking ahead

AI governance isn't a destination – it's an ongoing commitment. We'll continue refining our AI governance framework, strengthening our controls, and incorporating lessons learned from real-world deployment of our AI features.

As ISO/IEC 42001 certification programs mature, we'll evaluate the right timing and approach for pursuing formal certification.

This milestone reflects our belief that powerful technology requires equally powerful governance. As we continue developing AI capabilities that help you work smarter and faster, you can trust that responsible AI management remains at the core of everything we build.
